In Krasnodar Territory criminal proceedings launched into provision of services not meeting safety requirements while organizing leisure activities for children involved in traffic accident in Novorossiysk

Krasnodar Territory investigative agencies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation are continuing the criminal investigation into the bus accident in Novorossiysk, which resulted in injuring four people, including three children. Information has been received on inappropriate provision of leisure services for children. Upon this fact, Krasnodar Territory investigating bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation launched criminal proceedings into the offense under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Criminal Code (provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements).

According to investigators, the recreation center, where children were staying, is not intended for children's recreation and is not included in the appropriate register. In addition, neither information about the arrival of children to the recreation center nor information about their planned transportation was reported to the appropriate regulatory authorities. Investigators demanded documents on the activities of the specified recreation facility, and the appropriate legal assessment will be given to the actions of its management and employees.

In addition, investigators are taking steps to establish legal entities and individuals, who were involved in transportation of children and selling package tours.

Currently, investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime are underway. The investigation of both criminal cases is ongoing.
