In Tomsk Region criminal case over negligence of against child care provider entailing death of child finished

The Tomsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigating a criminal case against a child care provider of day nursery 46 in the city of Tomsk charged with a crime under part 2 of article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence entailing death of a person).

According to investigators, in the evening of 14 August 2014, the child care provider of day nursery No 46 in the city of Tomsk while being on a walk with children at a children’s playground failed to execute her duties when did not take any measures to protect life and health of a three-year-old girl and left her unattended. As a result of the woman’s criminal inaction the girl was kidnapped from the nursery by a resident of Tomsk. Her dead body was later found with signs of violent death in Pyatoy Armii street in Tomsk.

The accused admitted fully admitted his guilt.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been forwarded to court to be tried on the merits.
