Russia’s Investigative Committee calls not to jump to conclusions on causes of Falcon crash at Vnukovo

The Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case over crash of a Falcon plane at Vnukovo airport. A number of forensic expert examinations have been assigned. Namely, a forensic medical expert examination is underway to find out the exact cause of death of the victims. In addition, special tests are determining whether there were any signs of alcohol or drugs in blood of all flight controllers, who worked on the day of the crash. Other investigative and procedural operations are underway as well.

Russian investigators thought that it was possible for their French colleagues to take part in the investigation. This way, together with French investigators they have examined the crash scene, seized evidence and other materials relevant for the investigation.

I should point out that based only on results of analyses, all investigative and procedural operations, conclusion of the Interstate Aviation Committee, will the investigators be able to make any conclusions on the causes of the crash and guilt of certain people. Different theories and rash conclusions are ill grounded, but create too much fuss around those tragic events. I remind once more that truthful and impartial information about the investigation can come only from the Russia’s Investigative Committee. Therefore, I call journalists to be more patient and give the investigators time to conduct full and all-around investigation.
