The Kemerovo Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have detained a suspect of killing a 15-year-old girl in the town of Anzhero-Sudzhensk. It is a 28-year-old local resident. The man was detained thanks to coherent work of regional directorate investigators, the most experienced criminal investigator of the Investigative Committee Central Office, personnel of the Russian Ministry of Interior.

It has been reported earlier that on 8 October 2014 the girl left for school, but never came back. The parents reported her missing. Search operations were organized. The girl’s body was found the next day. The girl had been raised in a problem-free family.

At present investigative operations are conducted with the detainee. It has been found that the cause of death was asphyxia and the victim was raped. Investigators are going to take measures to find causes and conditions that contributed to the crime.

The investigators are going soon to press charges and request a court to remand the suspect in custody.
