The Kemerovo Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have charged a 28-year-old local resident of the town of Anzhero-Sudzhensk with crimes under paragraph “j” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder committed in order to hide another crime), paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 131 (rape of a minor) and paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 132 (sexual abuse of a minor).

According to investigators, on 8 October 2014, about 04:30 PM, local time, the man met the girl on the road, dragged her to the woods, abused her and then strangled.

The man was detained on 8 November. During a questioning he told the investigators where he had hid the girl’s things. The things were then found during the examination of the indicated place. Following the request filed by the investigators a court has ruled to remand the accused in custody. He is going to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and a number of other examinations.

At present investigative operations are conducted with the accused to find out the circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
