The Tyumen Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under part 3 of article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence entailing death of two or more people).

According to investigators, in 2012, the suspect’s family was put in a list of problem families by the juvenile commission of Yarkovo District, Tyumen Region due to the fact that the mother was a drinker and in the same period of time was stricken off the list without any solid reasons. Later on the said officials did not oversee the family which entailed serious consequences when 4 children aged between 2 months and 5 years were killed in a fire.

The investigators are carrying out necessary investigative operations to find out all the circumstances of the crime and reasons and conditions that contributed to it. The investigation is ongoing. The investigation is under control of senior officials of the Tyumen Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee.
