On 3 January 2015, dead body of Mari-El Minister of the Interior V.M. Buchnev was found in his working office in the town of Yoshkar-Ola.

Mari-El investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a pre-investigating check into the crime.

An investigating team is working at the crime scene at the moment to find out all the circumstances. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
