In Moscow Region local man to stand trial for murder of 10-year-old girl in town of Golitsyno

The Moscow Region Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has finished investigating a criminal case over a murder of a 10-year-old girl in the town of Golitsyno, Odintsovo District. Konstantin Tishkin, 29, a resident of the village of Malye Vyazemy, was prosecuted for the crime. His crimes were classified as ones under paragraphs “c” and “j” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of a minor aggravated by sexual assault), paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 132 (sexual abuse of a minor) and part 3 of article 30, paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 131 (attempted sexual assault of a minor).

A set of investigative operations were carried out during the probe that allowed making an impartial decision and proving the man’s guilt. During the interviews Tizhkin confessed to the crimes. He was taken to the crime scene, where he told how in the morning of 5 March 2014, he attacked a schoolgirl and killed her in cold blood. According to investigators, the man saw the girl passing by. He let her pass and grabbed her from behind closing his hand over her mouth. He dragged her to the woods, punched her in the face and tried to rape her. He strangled her during the process.

We remind that the crime was solved in the result of careful and systematic work of law enforcement bodies, during which 200 interviews were conducted, over 1 thousand DNA samples were taken from residents of neighboring districts, and videos were seized from CCTV cameras from all over the town. During the search in Tishkin’s house the investigators found and confiscated the clothes he was wearing at the moment of the crime and a lot of objects suggesting that he had some sort of sexual lapse.

Following a request of the investigators Tishkin undergone a psychiatric test which revealed a mental disorder. Based on the evidence and conclusions of experts who found him deranged the criminal case has been sent to court along with the approved ordinance to institutionalize him.
