In Moscow young man involved in a series of murders of homeless detained

Investigating bodies of Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case opened in a crime under part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two or more people).

As a result of efficiently planned and conducted search and investigative operations Investigative Committee investigators and criminalists together with police operatives have held a 19-year-old resident of Nizhny Novgorod Region suspected of the crimes.

According to investigators, the suspect met Pavel Voytov and Yelena Lobacheva in Internet and together with them committed a series of murders of homeless alcohol addicts in Moscow during a period between July 2014 and February 2015. They killed in deserted places at nighttime. According to investigators Voytov committed 7 killings and Lobacheva participated in 4 of them. According to Voytov he tried to “clean” the city. The investigators have revealed that the 19-year-old was involved in 2 murders.

Earlier, a court ruled to place Voytov and Lobacheva in custody until 27 March 2015.

Charges will be soon pressed against the young man. The investigators are going to find out all the circumstances of the crimes and check if the detainees were involved in other crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
