The investigating authorities of the Saratov Region branch of the Russian IC have launched criminal proceedings into the murder of four people under part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code.

On the evening of April 3, 2015, a dead body of an unknown girl with severe burns was found in the trunk of a burnt out car on Titova Street in the city of Balashov. The body of the car's owner - a man born in 1951 - was found nearby. A little later, the bodies of a woman born in 1968 and her son born in 1998 were found in the apartment of one of the houses in the city Balashov.

In the course of initial investigation and operational activities it was found that one person could be involved in the commission of these crimes. Investigators managed to establish his personality and arrest him. It was 37-year-old Warrant Officer Alexander Makarov. At present, investigators are working with him.

Personnel of the Central Military District Investigation Department of the Russian IC joined the investigation.

The circumstances and motives of the crime are being established.
