In Sverdlovsk Region investigation opened in hospitalization of children off passenger train

The investigating bodies of the Ural Transportation Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched an investigation in a crime under part 1 of article 238 of the RF Penal Code (providing unsafe services) after the children taken off a passenger train were taken to hospital.

According to investigators, on 23 June 2015, at 3:22 AM, local time, a group of teenagers accompanied by adults were taken off the passenger train traveling from Moscow to Novy Urengoy at Yekaterinburg-Passazhirsky station. 8 of the children needed medical aid. The group of 15 children and 2 adults had traveled the passenger train Adler-Perm from Tuapse station to Perm station, where they had took the passenger train traveling from Moscow to Novy Urengoy that went to Noyabrsk station. During the journey the children felt unwell, they had stomachache and nausea. An ambulance was called in and all the children and adults were taken off the train.

At present investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
