The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Komi have opened a criminal investigation in a crime under paragraph “b” of part 2 of article 285.1 of the RF penal Code (misuse of budget funds on a very large scale) following misuse of budget funds allocated on construction of a kindergarten in the village of Obyachevo, Luza District.

According to investigators, in 2013-2014, the officials of the administration and council of Luza municipal district let the money allocated for construction of a kindergarten for 220 children in the village of Obyzchevo to be spent for other purposes. According to preliminary information over 90 million rubles was misused.

Investigative operations are underway to find out the reasons and circumstances of the incident, identify people responsible for that and to gather and consolidate the evidence.
