In Udmurtia preliminary investigation launched in death of three local residents after boat tipped over

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for Udmurtia have launched a pre-investigating check in death and injuries of residents of Izhevsk after a boat tipped over in a pond.

According to investigators, on 13 June 2015, a group of 5 drunk young people went boating in a pond in Izhevsk. They lost control of the boat and collided with a pier. 2 men and a woman died on the scene, another two were injured and taken to hospital.

A check is under way to find out all the circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made after the check.
