Saint-Petersburg investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation against CEO of OOO Center of Sport Development of Children’s Health Camp Liga Svetlana Aleksandrova. She is suspected of a crime under part 1 of article 238 of the RF Penal Code (providing services that do not meet requirements of life and health safety).

According to investigators, despite the warning made after a check in the children’s camp in Kurortny district about violation of sanitation and epidemiological legislation Alexandrova continued providing services to children. As a result, on 12 June 2015, two aged 13 and 12 were hospitalized with preliminary diagnosis of food poisoning.

Necessary investigating operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. Charges and restraint are expected soon. The investigation is ongoing.
