Investigators doing everything to hold suspect of ER doctors killing in Crimea

The investigating bodies of the Crimea Main Investigations Directorate continue investigation in a crime under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two or more people) following a murder of a male nurse and medic in an ER in the city of Simferopol.

According to investigators, on 26 September 2015, about 4 PM, a man armed with a hunting rifle walked in an ER in Sevastopolskaya street in the city of Simferopol and fired at four employees. A male nurse was killed at the scene, three medics with different wounds were taken to hospital. One of the medics was wounded in the stomach and died later, another one is in grave condition with a wound to his head, medics are fighting for his life and the last one had a slight wound to his forearm. The shooter took off in a Moskvich car.

Thanks to immediate investigative operations the suspect was identified as a 55-year-old resident of Simferopol Bekir Nabiyev. According to the investigators, the suspect had had a surgery and after it the man repeatedly came to the ER complaining about pain. During the shooting the man threw at the male nurse a note, which read that the man had got unqualified aid.

At present, over 30 people – victims, witnesses, relatives and acquaintances of the suspect have been questioned, a set of investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the shooting.

The investigators and operative services are looking for Nabiyev. I believe that his detention is just a matter of time. He will definitely stand trial and will be brought to justice. By the way, part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code bears punishment up to life imprisonment.
