Pre-investigative check underway into death of man on railway

The Moscow Interregional Transport Investigations Office of the Investigative Committee is carrying out a pre-investigative check into fatal injuries a 21-year-old man from Stavropol Territory suffered on a railway.

According to preliminary information, today, about 7:30 AM, the young man was injured and died at the scene under yet unknown circumstances near the platform Severyanin, Yaroslavl line of Moscow railway for trains travelling from Monino to Moscow.

By now a number of necessary checks are underway to find out all the details and reasons of the incident. Different versions are being considered, including a suicide. A procedural decision is to be made following the check.
