The Leningrad Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation into a crime under Part 3 of Article 109 of the RF Penal Code (infliction of death by negligence to two or more people) following the death of 6 people during a fire.

The investigators have revealed that on the might of 7 April 2016, dead bodies of two women aged 63 and 39, a man aged 32 and three children aged 7 months, 4 and 14 years with burns were found after a fire in a house in the Vartemyagi-3 gardening society, the rural settlement of Agalatovo, Vsevolzhsk District, Leningrad Region.

At the moment the investigators are carrying out investigative operations to find out all the details of the incident and deciding on necessary forensic inquiries. They are considering several causes of the fire.
