The Omsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has finished an investigation against the president of the Omsk Institute of International Management and Foreign Languages In.Yaz. – Omsk Igor Poluikov charged with a crime under Part 1 of Article 199.1 of the RF Penal Code (failure to act as a tax agent).

According to investigators, between May 2012 and April 2015, Poluikov withheld over 3.4 million rubles of taxes from the wages of the institute’s staff, but did not transfer it to the state budget. He spent the money to pay off his own debts, pay for the rent of non-residential spaces, healthcare services, to buy office equipment for the institute, to which Poluikov was the sole founder.

During the investigation, the accused admitted his guilt, was remorseful and requested that his case to be considered in a special manner. To compensate of the damage, the investigators arrested his car and money.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been referred to court.
