Today a meeting of Chairman of the Russia's Investigative committee Alexander Bastrykin with the legendary rock musician Boris Grebenshchikov took place.
The chairman of the Investigative committee told the musician about the advisory board on matters of delivery of aid to orphan children left without parental care and lost children, as well as about the community coordination council on delivery of aid to children of the south-east of Ukraine created in the Investigative committee which holds the public members and the representatives of the creative intelligentsia. In the framework of this work the employees of the Investigative committee actively support children and engage, inter alia, in charity.
In his turn Boris Grebenshchikov told about the fact that charity also holds pride of place in his life and that he is a trustee of one of the endowment funds, he conducts the concerts duties for which he transfers to treat severely sick children. At the same time Boris Grebenshchikov makes donations to children undergoing treatment in the clinic by Doctor Liza (Glinka Elizaveta Petrovna).
In the course of the meeting the interlocutors recalled the student age of their Alma Mater (they both graduated from the Leningrad State University), they shared music preferences as well and recalled the way the famous rock club had emerged in Leningrad in the 80s. Telling about his works, Boris Grebenshchikov noted works of Bulat Okudzhava to influence him much. Alexander Bastrykin shared his story and narrated, being a student of law department, he had been playing the bass guitar in a jazz band.
The participants of the meeting recalled even their Komsomol youth happened differently for both. Alexander Bastrykin was the Komsomol leader not only at university, but in Leningrad and the region as well. And, on the contrary, they expelled Boris Grebenshchikov for his rock music mania in 1980. At the same time Alexander Bastrykin asked if it was he who had expelled the musician from ranks of the AULYCL having observed he was not a great admirer of rock music, but at the same time that he treats any talented works with respect. Boris Grebenshchikov replied he remember well those who expelled him from the Komsomol there was no Alexander Bastrykin among them for sure.
In conclusion of the meeting the Chairman of Russia's IC and the rock musician agreed about cooperation in sphere of charity. At the same time Boris Grebenshchikov did not exclude his participation in targeted charity actions joint with the Investigative Committee.
