Chairman of Investigative Committee hears progress of investigation in murder of family in Samara Region

Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has held a meeting with the investigative team and heard the results and progress of the probe into a case opened following the murder of six people in the settlement of Ivashevka, Samara Region.

Today, a court has granted the request filed by the investigators to remand the suspects in custody pending trial. The suspects are going to be charged following confrontations and other necessary investigative operations.

Active work is ongoing to find out all the details of the crime and to identify other people involved. A number of certain investigative operations are planned, while over a thousand investigative actions have already been carried out. The investigators are planning to assign about a hundred more forensic inquiries. The initially found evidence are being catalogued now.
