The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal investigation into a crime under Article 109 of the RF Penal Code (reckless homicide) after a child fell from window and died.

According to investigators, on 17 July 2016, mother found her child next to a block of flats in Borisovsky passage in Moscow. The child had injuries typical for falling from heights. Despite the medical aid the boy died at the scene. It was revealed that the boy had leaned on a mosquito screen and fallen from the window on the 9^th floor.

At the moment, the investigators are carrying a number of investigative operations to find out all the details of the crime. They are questioning the relatives, neighbors and possible eye-witnesses of the tragedy. The investigation is ongoing.
