The Murmansk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation into a crime under Part 2, item “a” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two).

According to investigators, on 7 October 2016, the Murmansk investigative office got a report that two bodies of a woman and a man, both aged 53, with multiple stabbing wounds, were found in a house in Geroyev Severomortsev Street in the city of Murmansk.

A 41-year-old man has been held on suspicion of the said crime, thanks to well-planned investigative operations. He is now expecting a custodial restraint. Investigative operations to collect and register the evidence are underway. The investigation is ongoing.
