The Murmansk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has taken up a criminal case opened by the police over a crime under Article 119 of the RF Penal Code (threats of murder of grievous bodily harm).

As became known earlier, a woman from the city of Murmansk reported to the police that she had been threatened by debt collectors. Her daughter and granddaughter received emails and their friends got messages via social networks with insults and photos with threats.

The Investigative Committee pays close attention to such incidents. The sentence of debt collector Dmitry Yermilov from Ulyanovsk whose actions injured a small boy, has recently entered into force. The incident in Murmansk Region will not stay unattended. Investigators will look thoroughly into all the details and give legal treatment to all debt collectors who threatened the family.
