The Dagestan Office of the RF Investigative Committee continue the investigation into crimes under Part 2, items “a”, “g” and “h” of Article 105 (robbery-related murder of two or more people committed by a group of people), Part 4, items “b” and “c” of Article 164 (robbery on a very large scale involving infliction of grievous bodily harm), Part 2 of Article 222 (illegal circulation of firearms committed by a group of people) and Part 1 of Article 167 of the RF Penal Code (deliberate damaging of another’s property).

As became known earlier, some people gunned a Toyota Prado vehicle at about 6:30 PM, 19 October 2016, on the 65^th km of the motorway linking Khasavyurt and Tlokh, near the settlement of Danukh, Gumbetovsky District. The vehicle was driven by the director of a company, who was delivering money to pay pensions to residents of Gumbetovsky District. The man and his wife died on the scene of gunshot wounds. The assailants stole some 13 million rubles from the car and took off.

Thanks to well-planned investigative operations, investigators of the regional investigative authority together with operatives of the Dagestani Ministry of the Interior have managed to get the information on four residents of Gumbetovsky District involved in the crime, in a very short time. Three of them have been detained and brought to the investigator for questioning. The fourth assailant will soon be delivered to the investigative office, too. The investigators are going to ask a court to remand all of them in custody pending trial.

Additionally, active investigative and search operations are ongoing to find out all the details of the crime, including all those involved in it. Actions of each of the assailants will be qualified. The investigation is ongoing.
