The Investigative Committee continues to look into circumstances under which teenagers are getting involved in so called groups of death.

The Krasnoyarsk Territory Directorate of the Investigative Committee has recently opened an investigation into an attempted suicide solicitation of a 13-year-old boy. After the said news was published, teachers in all Krasnoyarsk schools talked with their students. During one of such conversations, teachers discovered cuts on the arms of a 16-year-old girl. They reported it to the girl’s parents and the police. The Krasnoyarsk Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation immediately into suicide solicitation under article 110 of the RF Penal Code.

Investigators has already found out that between 5 and 9 February 2017, the 16-year-old chatted in VK (VKontakte) social network with an unidentified person who gave her different tasks with the ultimate goal for her to commit suicide.

At present, the investigators together with operative units are taking all possible measures to find out all the circumstances surrounding the crimes and to identify people involved in them. The teenagers’ parents, teachers and classmates are being questioned. The investigation is ongoing.
