The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has ordered the Saint Petersburg Directorate to run a check into wrongdoings to so-called debt-collectors following a story showed by the TV Channel One.

According to the footage, at night some unidentified people, calling themselves debt collectors, poured some PU foam in key holes of several flats. They also stuck some notices explaining that residents had to pay the debt of one of the tenants. In the morning some of the residents could not leave their flats.

Investigators are going to identify the so-called debt collectors and give their actions a legal assessment.
