Investigative Committee continues responding to each crime committed by Ukranian military against civilian population

The Department for investigating crimes connected with the use of prohibited ways and means of warfare of the Russian Investigative Committee’s Head Office has opened another investigation in the use of prohibited ways and means of warfare under Part 1 of Article 356 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, from 29 to 30 March, military men of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces and National Guard following criminal orders from the Defense Ministry fired heavy artillery weapons at civilian infrastructure in the towns of Donetsk, Yasinovataya, Dokuchayevsk and other settlements in Doentsk Region of Ukraine. A woman was wounded in the shelling, while more than 18 civilian buildings, including houses were destroyed or damaged.

In addition, the shelling seriously damaged a power line in Yasinovataya knocking out power to the Donetsk water filter plant so settlements in Donetsk Regions are remaining without water supply.

The crimes were committed for political and ideological reasons, because people in southeastern Ukraine refuse to recognize the current authority of Ukraine.

At the moment, investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the shelling and identifying the people involved in the crime. The Investigative Committee is going to keep on responding to each crime committed by Ukrainian military men against civilian population.
