The Kaliningrad Region Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated a check into media reports about foster parents who have returned children in Moscow who were put in their ward in Kaliningrad Region.

Investigators are going to check carefully the legality of actions and omission of officials of the Kaliningrad Region Government’s Social Policy Ministry when they put the children in ward, as well as if the officials supervised the living conditions in the foster family.

A procedural decision on whether the officials’ actions contain signs of negligence under Article 293 of the RF Penal Code will be made following the check.
