In Kamchatka Territory, probe launched due to hard landing of Mil Mi-8 helicopter

The Far Eastern Transport Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee has launched a probe in violation of the rules for traffic safety and operation of air transport under Part 1 of Article 263 of the RF Penal Code has been launched due to hard landing o a Mil Mi-8 helicopter in Kamchatka.

According to investigators, today at 10:40 AM (local time) the Mil Mi-8 helicopter of the Vityaz-Aero Company hard landed near the Mutnovsky Vulcan (Yelizovo District, KamchatkaTerritory). 20 people, including 17 ski tourists and 3 crewmen, were on board. Three passengers got injured, nobody died.

Investigation is currently underway to determine all the consequences surrounding the event. Criminal investigation continues.
