The Irkutsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has launched a probe against a 26-year-old woman, who is suspected in infliction of death by negligence under Part 1 of Article 109 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, the accused, willing to calm a child down, added vodka to a feeding bottle and gave it to the child. The child died due to alcoholic intoxication. The investigators revealed that the woman has two more small children, her parental rights have been revoked. It is known that she is in the monitoring list of the juvenile affairs commission of the Kirensk District.

The accused has been put in custody. The investigators will found out all reasons and conditions provoking the incident, as well as legal assessment to actions (inactivity) of preventive agencies, as well as juvenile affairs commission of the Kirensk District will be carried out.
