The Volgograd Region Office of the Investigative Committee have finished a search operation conducted as part of an investigation in disappearing of a 4-year-old adopted child.

When the investigators started looking into the disappearance of the boy, they suspected that it involved a crime, so the regional investigative committee immediately opened a probe in murder under Part 2, item “c” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code.

During investigative and search operations, the investigators have found and recovered the child’s remains.

All necessary forensic examinations are going to be ordered shortly. The specialists are going to find out cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death. The investigators are going to give legal assessment to all the actions of the adopted parents.

The investigation in the kidnapping of a boy in Rostov Region, the murder of the boy in Volgograd Region and negligence of the guardianship officials who let four children to be adopted by the family is ongoing.
