The Moscow Region Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated a check in a traffic accident in the town of Balashikha after which passengers of a fixed-run taxi minibus were taken to hospitals with a range of injuries.

According to investigators, on the morning of 16 June 2017, a Ford transit bus collided with two cars in Lenin Avenue. 8 people were taken to hospitals and 6 of them remain there. The injured are seven passengers of the bus and driver of one of the cars.

According to preliminary information, the cause of the accident was violation of the traffic code by the bus driver.

The investigators and specialists are going to check technical condition of the bus and see if passenger transfer rules were in line with safety requirements and norms set by the law. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
