Chuvashia and Chelyabinsk Region investigators searching for missing children

11-year-old Anastasia Osipova went missing in the town of Tsivilsk, Chuvashia on 15 June 2017. The last time she was seen on the evening when she went missing, she was walking not far from her house.

10-year-old Ivan Kotov went for a walk in the town of Kasli Chelyabinsk Region on 14 June 2017 and did not come back. It is known that the boy rode his bike to the library at school No 25, got his books, but did not get home.

As there is a threat to the life and health of the children, the Chuvashia and Chelyabinsk Region Offices of the Investigative Committee have opened investigations in murders under Part 2, item “c” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

The investigation is being supervised by the Investigative Committee’s Central Office. The Chairman has ordered the investigators to mount searches for the children and to find out all the circumstances surrounding their disappearance as soon as possible.

At the moment employees of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations, law-enforcement authorities and volunteers are looking for the kids in both regions. They are combing the area, examining nearby buildings, seizing and studying surveillance footages. The investigators are conducting urgent investigative and search operations to find out all the details of the incidents.
