Probe launched after 10-year-old boy went missing in Chelyabinsk Region

The Chelyabinsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in murder of a minor under Part 2, item “c” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

The reason to open the probe was results of a check in disappearance of a 10-year-old boy who left home on 14 June 2017 in the town of Kasli and never came back. His mother reported the boy missing. According to preliminary information the boy rode a bike to the library at school No 25, got books there, but did not get back home.

Responders of the Emergency Ministry, law enforcers and volunteers are now looking for the boy. Urgent investigative and search operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident. Criminalists of the regional investigative authority are working at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
