Moscow Region investigative authority to take over probe in traffic accident leaving child dead

The Moscow Region Office of the Investigative Committee has indicated that it should take over the investigation in a traffic accident leaving a child dead.

According to some media reports, a vehicle ran over a boy in the town of Zheleznodorozhny and dragged him at least 10 meters before stopping. 2.7 ppm of alcohol was found in 6-year-old boy’s blood. The boy’s family demands another test and claim that the witnesses were pressured, while the police had refused to open an investigation for around a month and some of the evidence were destroyed.

If it takes over the case, the Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee is going to check all the facts reported by mass media and run another test to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
