23-year-old man gets life for killing two, including small girl, in Transbaikalian Territory

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Transbaikalian Territory Office of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict Roman Chuprov, 23, a resident of Mogocha District. He was found guilty of murder of two people, including a minor and committed with special brutality under part 2, items “a”, “c” and “e” of Article 105, torture of two people, including one in helpless condition under Part 2, items “a” and “d” of Article 117 and murder threat under part 1 of Article 119 of the RF Criminal Code.

The court and investigators have found out, that in summer 2016, Chuprov killed a 31-year-old woman. They had been drinking alcohol together in an abandoned building in the town of Mogocha, when Chuprov had kicked the woman sending her out the window on the third floor. Then he had hit the woman on the head with a stone until she was dead. The murderer had hidden the body in the basement of the building.

In addition, in 2016, Chuprov regularly beat his wife and small step daughter. He kicked them. Hit with a belt, strangled, threatened to kill and finally beat the girl to death.

The investigators worked hard on this case. Several forensic examinations found Chuprov of sound mind and responsible for his actions.

The court has sentenced Chuprov to life in a super maximum security correctional facility.
