The Sakha (Yakutia) Office of the Investigative Committee has launched an investigation in unsafe services under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Criminal Code after food poisoning of students of football school in the town of Neryungri.

An online news outlet published information on the incident claiming that 20 students aged 12 and 13 felt unwell after dinner in the school cafeteria.

Investigators have found out that 46 students displayed symptoms of bacterial food poisoning, 7 of them were taken to hospitals in moderately severe condition, 39 teenagers with minor symptoms remained in an observation hospital deployed in the school dormitory.

The investigators are looking into the circumstances and reasons for the incident as well as identifying officials responsible.
