The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has ordered the staff of the Central office to supervise check opened by the Transbaikalian Office of the Investigative Committee into an incident at a PE lesson during which a girl suffered a spine fracture.

In addition, a traffic accident was reported yesterday which happened near the settlement of Debolovskoye, Rostov District, Yaroslavl Region and involved a truck and a Yarobltur tour bus with 38 children and 5 adults aboard. The bus driver died, while 16 children were taken to hospitals with a range of injuries. The Yaroslavl Region Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated an investigation into unsafe services under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Criminal Code.

Alexander Bastrykin has given orders to investigators to look carefully in the reasons and contributing factors of the accident, give legal assessment to the actions (omission) of the carrier and officials responsible for children’s safety during field trips. The investigation is supervised by the Investigative Committee’s Central Office.
