Today, in one of the wards of the surgical department of the Liskinsky district hospital of the Voronezh region, after extinguishing the fire, employees of the fire and rescue units found the body of an 82-year-old patient, whose death, previously, could have occurred as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. The presumed cause of the fire - careless handling of electrical appliances - will be investigated. The Voronezh Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Russia (infliction of death by negligence).
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the acting head of the Voronezh Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia to report on the performed investigative actions. The progress of investigation is under supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Moreover, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Irkutsk Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Sitnikov A.V. to report on the traffic accident in Ust-Kut as result of which 5 schoolchildren received injuries. The media reported that a 60-year-old driver on one of the streets of the city hit five minors who were walking along the carriageway in the opposite direction. Schoolchildren aged 12-14 received injuries of varying severity.
The progress of fulfillment of the instruction is to be supervised by the Central Office of the Committee.
