The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia requests a report on the disappearance of a 17-year-old in the Republic of Karelia

As previously reported, on May 6, 2020, the 17-year-old left home to a friend in the city of Kostomuksha and then to his acquaintance. He has not returned home and has not been in contact since May 7, 2020. His whereabouts are currently unknown. A mass search conducted with the participation of volunteers did not yield a positive result.  The probe under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder) was transferred by order of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia to the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Alexander Bastrykin ordered a report on the investigation and search activities. In addition, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the forensic specialists of the Main Forensic Department (Forensic Center of the Investigative Committee of Russia) to use all forensic capabilities to establish the most complete picture of what happened and the whereabouts of the missing person.
