In connection with the appeal of a resident of Sakhalin Oblast, grandmother of a disabled girl, who expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of the criminal investigation into the criminal case initiated over the provision of medical services to ф woman and her daughter that did not meet safety requirements (Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia), the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Sakhalin Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia B.B. Bazarov to report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case and on investigative and procedural actions carried out after the personal reception of the woman.

Earlier the applicant had been received by the Chairman in person via videoconferencing, as a result of which a number of employees of the investigative department had been disciplined and the criminal case had been taken under control of the Central Office of the Committee.
