The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan Lipsky V.A. to initiate a criminal case on the fact of the road accident, which resulted in one death and more than 20 victims.

Earlier it was reported in the media that a truck and a bus with shift workers collided on the road near Elabuga; as a result one person was killed and 21 more were injured.  According to preliminary data, the driver of the commuter bus drove to the roadside and collided with a truck.

The head of the Investigative Committee instructed to establish all the circumstances that led to the accident as part of the investigation and put the investigation under supervision of the Central Office of the Committee.
