Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Issued Several Orders for Head of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Republic of Crimea and City of Sevastopol

On 1 February 2022, a local resident, 16, and his underage friend, acting out of animosity towards a female school student, decided to murder her by strangulation in a yard of one of the schools in Bakhchisaraysky district. As soon as the victim passed out, teenagers, fearing that she might be dead, left the crime scene. The police opened up a criminal case (Part 3, Article 30, Subclauses “c, g”, Part 2, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Besides, the investigative authorities of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and City of Sevastopol charged a local resident, 42, with the sexual assault on a girl, 9 (Clause “b”, Part 4, Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigators, in October 2020, the charged offender sexually assaulted a daughter of his friend. The investigative actions intended to determine all circumstances of the case are underway.

Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin ordered V. N. Terentiev, Head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and City of Sevastopol, to provide a detailed report on the course of investigation of these criminal cases and have them monitored by the Central Office of the IC.
