Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin instructed the investigators of the Central Office to initiate a criminal case regarding a place for torturing people found in a residential building basement in a settlement in the Lugansk People's Republic, as well as regarding the body of a man with signs of violent death, which was found there.

According to the People's Militia of the LPR, an improvised torture chamber was found in the basement of a residential building, where Ukrainian troops were previously quartered in the village of Kryakovka near Trekhizbenka, which liberated from the Ukrainian combatants. Also, the body of a local resident was found there; most likely, he was killed during the recent retreat of the AFU.

The head of the department instructed to ensure the prompt collection and registration of the evidence required to identify the persons involved in the man's death, as well as to establish other possible instances of torture by the Ukrainian military.
