The criminal cases are launched on the artillery shelling of civilian targets by the Armed Forces of Ukraine troops

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has launched two new criminal cases under the offense prescribed part 1 Article. 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (ill-treatment of civilian personnel, use of banned means and methods of warfare), against the servicemen of the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yevgeny Kurash, Sergey Postupalsky, Roman Mamavko, Nikolai Yanchey, 25th separate paratrooper brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrey Kachanov, Roman Zabrodsky, Andrey Tkachuk, Dmitry Chernichenko, Emil Ishkulov, Vladimir Kapitula, 30th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Zinevich, Nikolai Perestupnyak, 56th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Dmitry Dovbich, Sergey Sirchenko, Dmitry Gerasimenko, Vyacheslav Bugaychuk, Alexander Bondarenko, Miroslav Verkhovy, Artem Puchkov, Gennady Boyko.

According to the investigation, between June 13 till 14, 2022, the mentioned above servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave and executed the criminal orders for targeted artillery attacks on civilian infrastructure from heavy weapons in the Donetsk, Dokuchaevsk, Gorlovka cities and the Yelenovka settlement, the Gagarina and Lyubovka villages of the Donetsk People’s Republic, including the Pervomaisk, Popasnaya, Kremennaya, Stakhanov, Krasny Luch cities of the Lugansk People's Republic.

As a result of the shelling of the Donetsk, Dokuchaevsk and Gorlovka cities, including the Yelenovka, Lyubovka settlements, the Gagarin village of the DPR, two people died, 16 civilians were injured, a minor child in particular. In addition, the artillery attacks caused damage to 74 houses and civilian infrastructure, counting the church facilities, the buildings of medical and educational institutions.

As a result of the artillery shelling of the Pervomaisk, Popasnaya, Kremennaya, Stakhanov, Krasny Luch cities of the LPR, one civilian was injured, 35 residential buildings and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged, including educational buildings.

The Investigative Committee of Russia continues to identify units of the Ukrainian armed formations and specific individuals involved in the commission of crimes against civilians.
