The court recognized the Evidence collected by military investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee for Vorkuta garrison as sufficient to pass a verdict on Former head of Ukhta regional main office of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Affairs of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief for the Komi Republic (hereinafter the regional office) colonel Anatoly Tarbeyev. He was found guilty of the crime under part 1 of article 285 of the Russian Criminal Code (abuse of official powers).

The investigation and the court have established that on Torbeyev’s orders during 2006-2007 the chief engineer of the regional office Mikhail Kusakin performed construction work in the flats of the head of office and his acquaintance. In total it took him over a year. During this time he didn’t performed his official duties though regularly received wage.

The Vorkuta garrison military court sentenced Torbeyev to a fine of 50,000 rubles.
