In Tatarstan Republic arrest of accused in Bulgaria wreck extended

Today on the request of the Tatarstan Republic investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee the court has extended to 12 October 2012 the term of arrest for Svetlana Inyakina and Yakov Ivashov – accused in the case of Bulgaria cruise ship which sank in Kuybyshevsky reservoir on 10 July 2011.

Inyakina is charged with crimes under part 2 of article 143 (violation of labor protection rules), part 3 of article 238 (rendering services which do not meet safety standards), part 3 of article 263 of the RF Criminal Code (violation of the rules for traffic safety and operation of water transportation system).

Ivashov is charged with crimes under part 3 of article 238 (wrongful issue of an official document which certifies compliance of services rendered with standards of safety to lives or health of consumers), part 3 of article 285 of the RF Criminal Code (abuse of official powers out of mercenary or any other personal interests).

At present the procedure of reading by the 5 accused the files of the case initiated on 7 June 2012 is continued. Not long before that, more than 200 victims have finished reading more than 90 volumes of files.
