In Stavropol Territory investigation of criminal case against former Deputy of Stavropol Territory Duma accused of crime against service interests in commercial organization and misappropriation

Stavropol Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have completed investigating a criminal case against former Deputy of Stavropol Territory Duma of the fourth convocation accused of crimes under part 3 of article 160 (misappropriation) and part 1 of article 201 of RF Criminal Code (abuse of authority by a person discharging managerial functions in a profit-making organization).

According to investigators, in September 2009, the deputy, being a trustee in bankruptcy of a commercial organization, purchased for funds of this organization fabricated wood block flooring worth more than 1 million 100 thousand rubles and used it for flooring his wife’s house. In all, he used the stolen flooring worth over 540 thousand rubles. In addition, other 155 sq. meters of fabricated wood block flooring worth over 119 thousand rubles on the instructions from the deputy were taken to a shopping mall in Stavropol and given to unknown persons. To conceal the stealing the deputy ordered to make a statement and put their knowingly false information of writing-off the flooring to repair the building of the organization.

In addition, on instructions form the trustee in bankruptcy from 2009 to 2011, the employees of the said commercial organization were making repairing to his wife’s house during working hours and with a salary paid out of funds of the said organization which amounted to a total of 300 thousand rubles.

Investigators have collected sufficient evidence, therefore the criminal case is sent for the indictment to be approved and to be forwarded to court to be tried on the merits.
