On 27 July 2012, at 1:20 at are №4, stratum Moshchny of OOO Mine Ziminka (LC) in the town of Prokofyevsk the bord sank (gas emitted). At the moment there were 95 miners in the mine, 92 of them were rescued, 3 were killed. One more injured was hospitalized. Kemerovo Region investigating bodies of Russia’s Investigative Committee launched an investigation into the incident and opened a criminal case over signs of a crime under part 3 of article 216 of RF Criminal Code (violation of safety rules during mining involving by negligence death of two or more people).

The bodies have been lifted to the surface and identified: 50-year-old assistant to chief of the area Sergey Komarov, miner of breakage face 51-year-old Vladimir Belyavtsev and miner of breakage face 31-year-old Danil Kozeruk. There are no traces of high temperatures on victims’ clothes and burns. 

At present an investigation group is working at the scene. All circumstances of the incident and causes of death are being established.
