On 24 August of 2012, a man with a preliminary diagnosis of anthrax was delivered to infectious disease ward of Biysk, Tselinny district. The man died the following day.

Altai Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a pre-investigation check into the fact.

At the moment checks are under way to find out all the circumstances of the incident. Considering the result of the check, the initiation of a criminal case will be discussed.
